The food is decent, featuring simple sandwiches and soup. The homemade soup is particularly good, while the sandwiches are quite average. Service is acceptable, but it can take a while for the staff to reach your table. The initial welcome isn't very warm either. Drinks take a long time to arrive. Additionally, the prices are quite steep for what you receive, as it feels more like bar food. A meal for three people can run you between $75 and $100, which I consider too high.
After exploring Lake Victoria Municipal Park in South Beloit, we were in search of a lunch spot and stumbled upon Poison Ivy Pub. We decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did. The interior was quite impressive, and the staff, including the owner, were friendly and attentive. The food exceeded our expectations; I had the Wonton Soup, which was the best I've ever tasted. Along with that, I tried a unique dish—a Prosciutto and grilled peach sandwich—which was also delicious.
Good Food. Good Service. However....3 burgers2 fries1 beer1 pop (no refills was offered)$67Little pricey for us to return, but very nice place and staff. Worth at least one visit to decide for yourself.Advice to owner: Offer some family friendly prices and have waitresses offer refills. Get the repeat business versus the one and done customers.
Sarah was great, and the Italian beef Mac and cheese is the single best thing I've ever eaten I'm my whole life. Come on down!
