Daves Hot Chicken - Rosemead

I ordered the number 2 with sliders and fries. I opted for medium heat, but I could have easily handled a notch hotter. It's best to enjoy this dish while it's still hot. Make sure to have clean hands ready to deal with the grease, or stock up on napkins! The chicken was a good size, and the flavor on the outside was impressive. It wasn't too dry inside either, but again, it’s best hot. The coleslaw was tasty, although I would have liked a bit more in the slider. The fries were decent, seasoned with some spices that added a nice kick. The crunchy pickles were a great addition to balance the richness of the chicken. Also, the honey packet provided for the sliders works wonderfully on the fries too!

I echo the thoughts of a prior reviewer: the food was good, but nothing particularly memorable. I doubt I would have a strong desire to return. That said, my first visit was overall solid! I had the mild sliders and fries, which were enjoyable, and the mac and cheese was decent, though not exceptional. The chicken was tender and served in generous portions.

This is a wonderful restaurant with speedy service. Truly, it's excellent for what it provides. I decided to try the spiciest dish, and it nearly brought me to tears! It was intensely spicy going down and even hotter afterward. Be careful when dining here!

This restaurant is amazing! The chicken is superb, and you have the option to choose your desired spice level. As someone who enjoys hot and spicy food, I can confidently recommend the "hot" option, which has a nice kick to it. There are also two higher spice levels to try. Be sure to ask for extra Dave's sauce – you won't regret it! Overall, it's a fantastic dining experience.
