The chicken salad is refreshingly delicious, and the catfish soup, while sour and slightly spicy, has a surprisingly smooth texture. The clay pot fish is definitely the highlight of the meal, and I always request extra sauce because it pairs perfectly with the fish, which is never overcooked. However, I’m not a big fan of the Bo Luc Lac; the meat was quite dry and the portion was small, making it not worth the price. Overall, the restaurant is clean and the staff is attentive, providing fast service. Just don’t expect a fancy atmosphere or overly friendly staff who chat with you. I’ll continue to support this local business.
I really enjoy these authentic Vietnamese dishes that I can't replicate at home, especially the brewed fish. The prices are quite reasonable, particularly the dinner combos. You can't go wrong with just $25 for two people! They also accept credit cards, which is a plus. And to top it all off, we were treated to a complimentary dessert!
Their combination dishes are also fantastic, featuring options like caramelized pork or catfish prepared in a clay pot. We opted for the two-person family special, which included the Catfish Canh Cua and Thit Kho (Caramelized Claypot Braised Pork). The meal came with rice, a side of chicken salad, and pickled vegetables. The catfish was incredibly tender, and the caramelized pork went perfectly with the soup and rice. The food was not only delicious but also well-balanced, with an abundance of vegetables and protein. We found the portions to be generous; even the two of us couldn’t finish everything, and it was all for just $25! There’s a small parking lot at the back that offers plenty of space. The servers were friendly and wore masks, and they accept credit cards. Highly recommended!
Food is good and price is reasonable, especially the service is superior!
Been coming here for years, before they changed their name. Price has gone up, but that 's to be expected. Food has always been consistent. Tasty, appropriate flavoring. Canh Chua Ca (hot sour fish soup), Ca Kho (caramelized braised catfish) Thit Kho (caramelized braised pork) are my favorites... I can never make mine taste like theirs... Sooooooo good. They were cash only (which is understandable for a lot of mom pops), been accepting cards for some time now. They have NEVER snuck in any tip charge on my bill. (I read that in a few other reviews). And being cash only has nothing to do with charging tax on food. That 's why I decided to finally write a review for them. No I don 't know the owners. I 'm not related to them in any way. Just a fellow Vietnamese immigrant who understands what they 're going thru and the difficulties of running a restaurant, especially nowadays where anyone and everyone can post their opinions about anything and everything . I like this place, plain and simple.
