Jardin thaï is one of our favorite food restaurant. I especially recommend the pad thaï and the roasted rice that are really delicious. good quality and not too expansiw.
The 4 of us have different meal times and all four were delicious. I don't know why rice is an extra. I've never seen that in a Thai restaurant. the service is pretty slow.
Returned to this location as we do every 3to4 months. Service as always excellent. Food good. Price fair. Kitchen not too flexible to customer wants. I.e. ordered General Tao without green peppers. Young waitress re appeared at table and explained cannot remove green peppers. It...either mixed red and green peppers or none at all. This attitude on behalf of the cook is unbelievable, if someone doesn't want whatever a dish simply take it out. What ever happened to customer satisfaction?
It was a thursday evening (5:30 pm). We had tried the previous week (6:30 pm) but there was no parking available. We could have parked on the other side of Labelle Blvd but it was a dark stormy night and we didn 't want to...walk across a 4 lane busy road in such low visibility so we went elsewhere. On our second attempt , we were the second couple there so parking was available. Decor was fresh inviting. Staff was friendly. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. We ordered (General Tao for me, hot salad for my companion). By the time our soup arrived (in 15 minutes) the restaurant was filling up and getting noisy. My General Tao was well-spiced (medium heat, good after burn), the lemon grass soup was bland, imperial rolls were tasty but the hot salad (noodles, various greens, a few chunks of beef chicken and a cut up imperial roll with fish sauce was not pleasing to her at all. It had been recommended by our server. By the time our fried bananas and coffee arrived the conversational noise was overwhelming so we paid and left. We had not visited this restaurant for several months. Three years ago we enjoyed eating there. Six months ago we were disappointed, so this was a re-visit again and we won 't return. There is a much better Thai restaurant 200 meters north on the other side of Labelle blvd. That 's where we will go next time.
