This restaurant was recommended to us and it was a good recommendation, it is in a very local area and you need to go through narrow streets, but it is definitely worth it! The family-run restaurant allows to be a very intimate experience. The owner himself was very nice and well traveled, we talked to him about his home country and the beautiful things about life in Egypt. They have Egyptian food, but we decided to taste authentic Tajikistan dishes and it was mainly their pastries similar to Sambousak with ground beef. Your prices were also good! In addition, has a very unique design that uses everything in space.

I visited Al Marouf restaurant last week with my friend and we had a great time. It is a cozy and charming place that serves delicious food , pastries and salads. The food was fresh and tasty. I ordered plov and manti for lunch and they were both perfect. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant were relaxing and inviting, also has an elegant design with comfortable seating and lighting. The service and staff of the restaurant were friendly and attentive. They greeted us warmly and took our orders quickly. They checked on us regularly, also gave us some recommendations on what to order. I was very impressed with this restaurant and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner in Alexandria. It is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

A great place, been eating there multiple times in ~7 years and the quality of the food never changed. You’d expect a very welcoming family and atmosphere. Always prepare your stomach to eat as much as you can because food is very delicious too!
