Wanted mussels and drove to Glyngøre Harbour. The only option that day was Kjøwenhavner Kokken in the middle of the harbour.. We bitterly regretted that visit. We experienced the staff (2 people) stressing mostly about pouring food into the fryer. The place reminded me of a grill bar... But there was The Chef above the facade and there was a picture sign: wind steamed mussels. But you didn 't have mussels!! I ordered Fish 'N Chips instead. You can never go wrong with that in the city. When the plate arrived, the place 's version of the tasty English classic consisted of a pile of fries and a breaded plaice on top !! a sad sight. I pointed out to the waitress that it wasn 't fish N Chips. The fish must be pieces of cod. I got the message, It 's our fish N Chips and then she turned around and walked away. I ate some of the portion but the watery plaice fillet in particular did not taste good and was of course nowhere near F&C cod pieces baked in beer batter. Disappointed, I left the restaurant and on the way out I pointed out to the Chef who was sweating by the fryer that you shouldn 't advertise with F&C and serve a sloppy breaded plaice. A pointed comment came back: it is we who decide what goes on the plate . A miserable deep fryer smelly visit never again will we visit that place.
Called kjøvenhavner kokken in Danish. beautiful view of the harbour. the fish and chips are good and they have a good selection of fish and seafood with almost food. the inner is not so exciting.
