Salad should be an Italian blend and the house dressing should be a homemade oil vinegar mixture. Angel hair whitecream sauce is not good at all. New York strip was thick and juicy, but not flavorful. Offer spring water or San Pelligrino. The quality is not worth the price. Rico's needs help.
Excellent Meal! Visiting from out of town I knew it was going to be good as soon as we walked in from the aroma in the air. Veal Chop was Perfectly done. Everything was Delicious. Service was Awesome with a really nice atmosphere. Will Definitely be Back
I highly recommend: **ANTIPASTI** - (a) Stuffed artichokes, as only the Romans can prepare; - (b) Caprese salad, featuring real fresh mozzarella and tomatoes drizzled with olive oil, herbs, and a splash of light vinegar; - (c) Crispy provolone served with a mild marinara sauce. **PASTA** Try Rico’s angel hair pasta in a rich cream sauce, crafted with authentic Italian skill and topped with crunchy pignoli nuts—absolutely exquisite! Don’t forget to order a side of asparagus to add a nice contrast in texture. **VEAL** Any of the veal dishes (Vitella) are sumptuous, but I’m particularly fond of the Lorenzini. It features juicy, tender meat topped with prosciutto, cheese, and mushrooms, all bathed in a superb cream sauce that brings back memories of veals I’ve enjoyed in Florence and Milan—simply WOW! **MANZO** The steak selection is impressive, but I have a soft spot for the classic Filet Mignon, cooked to a perfect medium-rare with sautéed mushrooms. It is lightly seasoned, allowing the flavor of the juicy meat to shine through—WOW! **VINO** They offer an excellent wine selection, and I recommend taking your time exploring it via the iPad menu. Kudos to the sommelier for curating a diverse range of wines from across Italy that reminds me of my favorite wine bar in Piazza Navona. Of course, no Italian dining experience is complete without an Espresso Doble and a glass of Limoncello. The service here was excellent as well.
The food was decent but nothing extraordinary. Our group of eight, all first-time diners at Rico's, felt like we were eating dishes straight out of the '80s. We spent over $200 on fairly basic Italian cuisine that lacked flavor. The Alfredo was particularly disappointing; it was just cream with pasta that was stuck together. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 10. It's also quite overpriced, especially when you factor in the valet service.
Rico's offers an exceptional dining experience. Every part of our evening was flawless. The food, service, cocktails, and ambiance were all outstanding!
