I am EXTREMELY particular about how I like my pizza, mostly because I am lactose intolerant and partially because I can 't eat a lot of it so when I 'm wanting a slice or two I want them to be made correctly and hit the spot . I mean don 't we all want it to be to be worth it to risk it for the biscuit . I always order extra sauce, light light cheese, and light banana peppers. At other local pizza places it 's seems these very specific yet simple asks are too much to ask for, not at Bella 's. Being only the second time I 'd called in an order I didn 't expect them to remember me but as soon as I started telling them my order they already knew and asked if I also wanted light light cheese and light banana peppers. In a quick 15 minutes my pizza was ready, I opened the box and smiled ear to ear, they had done it again. The crust is crispy on the outside and super fluffy and soft on the inside, the ingredients they use all taste delicious and not cheap at all. If you 're searching for a pizza place that can get a specific order right every time then you should definitely give them a chance, they really do deliver!
Food wasn't horrible but could be better. there was very very little sauce on the pizza and the cheese fries were hard and the cheese wasn't melted at all. kinda unfortunate.
We’ve ordered quite frequently over the past year. Within the past four or five months though, the quality has went way down, so our ordering has as well. I used to always rave about this place. I picked up our order today and neither were cut entirely not a huge deal, but annoying. Our bbq chicken pizza is a joke. Biting into it is like eating a crispy piece of bacon. It’s so incredibly thin. It was never like this before. We bought a large pizza and I don’t even know that we will eat it because it’s so unpleasant, especially considering it was $22 for the one large pizza.
Update: Consistency was spot on for our last visit. They use a different hoagie roll than all the other shops around Pittsburgh. I dont know if they make it themselves, but it certainly is several notches above what the others sell. For $16 I swear that sub is 2' long. It sure seems longer than the 18 they advertise. Their sub roll is also wider than most by some, or by much vs subway for example.Imagine foxes done better, it has that texture. When I first tried Bella's I disliked the pizza. Sweet and limp. We tried again today and their dough reminds me of an upscale foxes. Not crispy but not soggy, chewy a bit with a nice enough crisp. Trust me Im not a huge foxes pizza and dont want people thinking this pizza is like foxes, but you'll know what I mean when you try Bella's. There's a texture that foxes has when it's done right that is what made it so popular. Bella's dough is good, really good. It has a bit of that texture with a slight crunch and a nice chew. Sauce tastes good, nicely balanced. It does not taste like it came from a can, it tastes fresh. Cheese on top of pepperoni. We took one bite and were like eh ok...then second bite hmm...third bite yes, this is the way. This is a good pie. Not overly anything, well balanced. Add salt if you want to, but it's not overly salty. We also got a sub. Monster sized for 15 or so dollars but enough to feed four people for lunch, or 2 for a large dinner with a small piece left over. It was good, not overly toasted and enough cold ingredients although I wish they had some more lettuce, but I want more lettuce all the time that's just me. Nice beefy pieces of tomato, red. The sub roll was high quality. Wife really liked her sub, I can tell she is hooked. She won't want to go anywhere else for subs...ever, I know this to be true.I see why so many people rate this place highly. Consistency is important to me so let's see how it is order over order. After special I gotta say this is the most bang for the buck pizza shop in the rostraver/BV area.
Most pizza places in the area are just average but not bellas. I've never had something I didn't like from here and have been happy with my order every single time. They make great specialty pizzas, and every employee I've spoken to is very polite
