Peking Garden Chinese - Rother

Although the restaurant was quite far away, we decided to order takeout and were pleasantly surprised when it arrived in just over half an hour, well before the estimated time of one hour and ten minutes. The food was still hot and tasted delicious.

My new favourite Chinese restaurant. Used as a delivery this time. Never had fresh mango in a dish and it was amazing. Really delicious. Delivery was smooth and exactly when they said. Really impressed.

Friday night first time we've used Peking Garden in Little Common which I believe is now a take away only although website is a bit confusing. On the phone they said they would be about an hour but were pleasantly surprised that it was just half an hour. Enjoyed our dishes which included pork chow mein, special fried rice, chips, crispy beef, chicken in Black bean sauce. We meant to order pancake rolls but ordered spring rolls instead which were a bit disappointing. They had little filling in and weren't crispy but the rest of the dishes were very good. We will order again without the spring rolls as they also offer free delivery within 3 miles.

This USED to be the best restaurant around, but it will no longer be, as confirmed by the manager tonight 8 pm 23/05/2021.

I’ve eaten here many times, both in the restaurant and had home deliveries and always found the quality of food excellent and well worth the extra money. But........ I was very disappointed last week with the quality of the food on my home delivery.. It was cold, the crispy duck was dry, overcooked and inedible. I took the trouble to send them an email (as I always would before posting a review), but haven’t even received the courtesy of a response. So here it is.......disappointing, some parts inedible and not worth the money. Steer clear until they get a new chef!
