AMAZING. I can honestly say that I've never been to Rotorua without stopping at Lady Janes. The ice cream quality is always consistent and the staff are so friendly. The large range of ice cream to choose from is absolutely wonderful! And the banana split delicious,so good that I forgot to take a picture before tucked in. Just brilliant.
Great ice cream made from local produce, smiling staff and some chilly weather. Rotorua at its best. The Place was deserted when we reached since it was time to shut down along with it being the beginning of winter. Do note in winter they shut early by around 5.30 6 depending on the crowd.<br/ <br/ I had the SALTED CARAMEL Icecream with whipped cream, peanuts and chocolate sauce. My God did it taste good. The salted caramel icecream just tasted so fresh. The peanuts gave it that crunch and the hot chocolate sauce was so nice and gooey. The whipped cream gave it a nice relief from the sweetness of the ice cream.<br/ <br/ If you are in rotorua you must check out lady janes for some lovely ice cream. It is located just before eat street from the lakeside.
So! Right at the the end of Eat Street is Lady Janes which is a nice place to get your sweet fix. I have been visiting this place before Eat Street existed and doesn't seem to have changed. <br/ <br/ Don't expect an amazing creme brûlée here, it is a nice and simple kiwi ice cream shop. Coming here is more about engaging with the locals, children getting ice cream at the end of a hot day and nostalgia for people like me.
Had a real nice outing with the family, took a while to choose what I wanted, but was so worth it, very yummy Kapiti Ice cream served here
