Quokka Joe's - ROTTNEST ISLAND

We were on Rotto for the World Time Trial Championships

Grabbed a takeaway bacon and egg roll with choice of source. Cooked fresh and plenty of bacon and egg with a touch of spinach. Really friendly staff, just opening for the season. You have to watch the gulls and marsupials. Can't say about the lunch menu but the price was pretty good for Perth which we're finding expensive!

Was In Rottnest for a day trip and went here for breakfast with family, 3 of us. Service was very slow and had to remind staff to bring out 3rd persons meal and drink, meals came out at different stages so we were eating at different times. Food was mediocre to say the least I have had a lot better. There aren't very many places open for breakfast so choice was limited. Other establishments close to coming off ferry include the dome ( which would have been better) or the bakery which I would recommend over all of the above. P.s eating outside the quokkas come up to you which isn't so much a problem as they are very placid however the amount of seagulls and crows that are about are quite cheeky n fly down and perch in the table. I had to move inside which isn't great as a crow ate one of my sausages, a staff member seen this and laughed and passed no comment.

I thought I'd pop in and take a look at some better food options other than bakery goods and deep fried foods. Quokka Joes delivered on their claims and served me an amazing butter chicken dish with rice. The serving size was more than double what you'd get in a restaurant and it was abundant with chicken. I'd say three or so chicken thighs in one serving. It was just what I needed to fuel my day of riding. Something without chips. The establishment doesn't present itself that well. Its a little darker than most and not layed out to look so inviting but dont let looks deceive you though. The service and food speak for themselves.

My coeliac / celiac son had a nice hearty cheeseburger with gluten free bread (instead of the fresh Rotto bakery bun we had). He did not get sick! Yeah! Thanks for being a contamination aware restaurant. T
