Located alongside the Labe river, past the Panny Maria Catholic cathedral and towards the old Jewish cemetery, Majak is a popular restaurant in Roudnice. There is ample street parking and bike racks available during the summer for those enjoying lunch on the patio. The interior is bright and decorated with lighthouse figures and pictures in honor of Majak's namesake. The dining room can accommodate large groups with a long row of tables, but it's best to call ahead due to its popularity. The menu is extensive and leans towards continental cuisine, offering dishes such as pizza, shopsky salad, and pan-fried fish with couscous, along with Czech favorites. The menu is organized by meat type, with different preparations available for beef, chicken, and pork. Portions are generous, so bring your appetite. The service is adequate, although an extra waiter might be helpful during busy times. Despite this, I always return to Majak and would give it 4 stars.

This restaurant is perfect, with fantastic service and a wonderful owner who is welcoming and attentive to guests. Unfortunately, I couldn't fully enjoy my meal due to a headache, but the owner quickly offered me a pain reliever and a glass of water. We will definitely be returning to Lighthouse soon and I highly recommend it to everyone. The staff is very kid-friendly, providing toys for little ones to keep them entertained and prevent them from bothering other guests. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, receiving 5 stars in each category. The price per person for a dinner meal is around Kč 200-300.
