Aux delices afghans - Rouen

For curry and spice lovers, this is a treat: less heat, more aroma, but a small dish of mint, corriander & chilli on the side to add extra kick if you need. I had Borani Badenjan to start (€4) - delicious grilled aubergine in a creamy sauce with chickpeas, garlic, light spices and a flatbread to mop up. For main, I had Assiette de Dégustation (€11), which had a bit of everything, including meltingly gorgeous lamb, and beautifully spiced Kofta, as well as delicious veg. I loved the flat breads. Finished the meal off with a cup of Kawa: ginger, cinnamon & cardamom tea. I wish this restaurant was one of my locals.

We just happened to pop in. Owner was extremely helpful courteous. Helped us to understand the menu choice. Service was quick, place had a good atmosphere. I loved the food , excellent value. Will call again if ever in Rouen.

Was a bit astonished at first by the cold service being used to very welcoming people in Central Asia. But in the end the food was good, and this is all what we asked for.
