It was fantastic to see the thought and care that went into every dish, from the DIY rice balls to the whole fried chicken served at the end of the meal. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this place. I tried the Hanshin Tongdak, DIY Rice Balls, Ojingeo Bokkeum, chicken gizzards, and Pork BBQ. They also have a parking lot available.
Here are some details about the Happy Hour Combo Special: - Offered Monday-Friday from 5-6 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 12-6 pm. - Combo 3 is priced at $27.95 and includes Kimchi Jeongol, a DIY Rice Ball (or Spicy Fried Rice), and Tong-Ojingeo Cheolpan Gui (whole squid). - The Dakttongjip (chicken gizzards) is available for $21.95. - For to-go, Combo 2 costs $22.95 and features Whole Chicken and a DIY Rice Ball (or Spicy Fried Rice). The radish banchan that accompanied the whole chicken was both refreshing and delicious! Everything we tried was packed with flavor! The DIY Rice Ball was particularly fun—it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys getting hands-on in the kitchen. The ingredients seemed really fresh and of high quality. Surprisingly, the chairs, made from metal drums, were quite comfortable; however, they could occasionally get stuck in floor cracks. The server was incredibly busy, juggling orders and preparing both dine-in and to-go meals. He managed to pack all our takeout items perfectly. Unfortunately, he didn’t have time to clean up tables once their guests left! He truly is a hard worker! Hanshin Poncha specializes in Korean comfort food, which definitely delivered. They also offer a variety of beers and soju, but we skipped those this time. The parking situation was manageable for an early Saturday afternoon, though I can imagine it gets crowded as the day progresses. This place came highly recommended by a friend, and I can see why! Overall, I would definitely suggest checking out Hanshin Poncha if you’re in the area and in the mood for some Korean comfort food.
Fantastic food, attentive service, and a wonderful atmosphere! The staff was extremely polite. I highly recommend this place! The meals were served quickly, and the portion sizes were larger than average.
Hm food was just normal. A little bit too greasy. Environment was nice, but can be very loud. I had to yell at my friend so that she can hear me. Lol
FANS OF SPICY CHICKEN FEET, RUN DON'T WALK!! Vibes are immaculate, feels very much like a casual midnight food run with friends type of place it can be loud though, so I wouldn't recommend going here if you're planning to have a lot of conversation. I don't think I had any issues with the service. Food details (I don't remember the specific names since I ate here two months ago and forgot to write the review then): Spicy chicken feet as I said, amazing, no complaints Shrimp it was good, but not as good as I was expecting it to be Rice the spicy one is really tasty, but I would definitely recommend getting the non spicy rice balls because all of the other dishes are spicy. You will have to mix the ingredients together yourself and shape them into rice balls. Flavor wise I definitely prefer the spicy one, but I would recommend adding the rice balls to your order for functional purposes.
