Hui Lau Shan Xǔ Liú Shān

The glutinous rice balls are hard and not cooked at all. They smell like flour. You can see the raw flour inside when you bite them. Don’t you guys taste them after cooking? What are you doing? Very bad!

We tried the mango chewy ball. It was not too sweet and the texture was amazing! The mangos were perfect and juicy. I’d come back to try their drinks next time.

Hui Lau Shan reminded me of my summer evenings in HK, eating dessert after dinner.The mangos were fresh and juicy, and the mango jelly that were in both desserts were as good as the mango jello my grandma used to make.The coconut was not overpowering in the drink and made it more refreshing.One thing I wish there was more of is the chewy balls in the dessert. Though we did get a bit extra on the side for 1$.Overall 10/10, I was reminded of my childhood :
