Shephard Hills Golf Course - Roxbury

This is a stunning hidden gem of a golf course. The staff is friendly, and the food at Ate O Ate after the round is fantastic.

If I played golf, I would definitely recommend this place. The course is absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, I don’t golf. However, the food at the restaurant was truly delicious!

The conditions were very unsatisfactory. Perhaps it was just a poor time of year, as we are currently experiencing a heat wave.

Charming 9-hole golf course set in the Adirondacks. Each hole presents its own vertical challenge. The course is well-maintained. There's a seasonal restaurant on the premises.

I found the course to be in excellent condition, especially the greens, which were firm and true yet quite forgiving. Most holes are straightforward, but pay special attention to holes 2 and 3, as they have sharp doglegs and require a precise tee shot to have a shot at the green. During one of my rounds, my friends needed clubs, and I was pleased to find that rentals were available. We were able to mix and match the clubs, taking whatever we needed, which was perfect for our group. Overall, the course makes great use of the natural landscape and has the relaxed vibe similar to many other local courses I’ve played.
