I've seen it so often when I'm dressed in and out of the ABC Mandarin at the next door. Such a fool I've been waiting for so long. I left the little one looking down and the front marque that had the same for decades. It has a word Halibut . It has never changed. Only Halibut. I called to order a lunch. I ordered the D5, which was 2 pieces of fish, 2 shrimps, a needle of Coleslaw and my choice of roasted rice or fries. I chose the Pommes. I was told 10 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later and they brought my food into the container. The fish was broken. Not hard as many more expensive places where I had fish chips. Everything was fat, but not bad. Hey, fish and chips. The fish was beautiful and moist and fluffy. The shrimps were of a beautiful size and also delicious. The Pommes were, just Pommes, nothing special. The Coleslaw was very fine shrunk, but a bit sweet for me, but I still enjoyed it. The only thing that really lacked was a little acid. Some malt vinegar would have been great, or even a lemon. Lee's back. Thank you for a nice lunch, although I have avoided you all these years. p.s. The Tarter Sauce and Shrimp Sauce is delicious.
Everything we ate is excellent. The halibut is the best in the area, and the prices are wonderful. Just don't plan to pay with a debit/credit card. Only cash or check. Love it!
