Chez Mika - Royan

Back at Chez Mika and it remains my favourite breakfast experience: chic location, great people-watching, wonderful ambiance, delightful food and drink, and peerless staff. Each visit starts the day perfectly. Un retour à Chez Mika et le café reste merveilleux. Nous l’adorons.

Chez Mika is on Aristide Brand, the boulevard running from the Marche Central to the sea front an excellent location for people watching and taking in the Royan ambience. It has pavement tables and big windows, so even if you are inside you still feel part of what's going on on the boulevard. The decor is clean, chic and bright, and the seats comfortable. Mika shops Iin the market every morning and everything is fresh and home made. She is a very talented cook and her lunchtime dishes, which change each week, are varied and accessible as well as delicious. She and David, who handles the front of house, are both super friendly and kind as well as efficient. This contributes to an experience that is very positive socially as well as aesthetically. If you go to Chez Mika you will eat and drink extremely well in a charming environment. I especially recommend their brunch: different and terrific value.

Thank goodness this place exists in Royan. The food is fresh, served graciously and with a smile. Unusually for Royan the prices are reasonable and restaurant has real style. This is the best place for a meal, a snack or a meal.

Restaurant/bar has very trendy tea, or you feel comfortable in the first seconds. Thanks to the owners for their welcome!
