Rylie's Diner - Ruckersville

I took my family there, and both the food and service were excellent. The kitchen can get a bit backed up since it's a small place, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The interior could use a makeover – it would be better if it felt less like a thrift store and more like a cozy country kitchen.

Ashley, the waitress, is irreplaceable! She’s always on the move and brings joy to everyone.

It hard to find, but it’s worth it. Great breakfast and service. Great, clean local restaurant. I will be back.

We were seated and our order was taken pretty quickly. However, it went downhill from there. The one restroom was not available due to a previous customer's situation. It would be appreciated for a staff member to quickly make the restroom available again. My order was for hot food which was delivered in a reasonable time. But the chili was lukewarm. My husband ordered a chef salad. It didn't come. I finished my meal. He went to the counter to pay for my meal and the server said his salad was ready and would he like it. He responded that it didn't matter anymore because he needed to leave. He told them he needed to use the restroom and theirs wasn't available so we need to leave now. Another server said he was being rude to them. At no time did he get rude. He requested the bill so we could go. They boxed his salad and he paid and we left. He shouldn't have been charged for the salad since it was so late in coming, or at the least been given a discount. We will not be returning.
