First time visiting in several years. Booked for a Sunday roast. Good choice of meats and liked having the option on portion size. Food was very good and service was friendly. Dog friendly too!
Ended up in The Bull enroute North simply because we were hungry and it was the closest place! It was a joy to walk into a local pub that was actually buzzing and full of people. We got a warm welcome form the landlord and were quickly directed to a free table. The food was good and the decently priced : .
Credit where credit is due, I have eaten here twice in the past week and the food is exceptional, a true credit to everyone involved.
This place has recently had a refurb and new management. We called in for lunch mid week. The staff are very welcoming and attentive and can 't do enough for customers. We sat by a roaring log fire in the snug. My friend and I opted for macaroni cheese each with fries between us. The mac was the best, freshly cooked (the landlady apologised for the wait as the chef was cooking the pasta! The fries were chunky and enough for two. This, with two soft drinks came to £18 but was off the sides menu. Other dishes e.g. Fish and chips £17.95 off the mains menu are a bit more expensive. We enjoyed our meal, others eating were having Valentines meals which looked very special. Recommended.
