This restaurant was spectacular. eating was really amazing. I had no expectations, but it threw me away. perfectly plated, I would eat it absolutely well. I wish the server was a bit more attentive to get us more drinks. but eating and dessert were the stars of this meal.
That was my first time eating in nasturtium at agawam hunt. my man and I had here in the januar 2023 dinner in the frame of the providence restaurant weeks. While we enjoyed our meal and the service was good, we were unhappy with the 20% house fee, which was tied to the final bill and was noticed in the fine print at the lower edge of the menu. there was no statement from our server or on the menu, which would cover this fee and that it would be added to the bill. Moreover, it is expected that diners tap on the fee that does not make sense. while $40/person for a 3-course-prix fixe menu seems like a good deal, the fee certainly increases the price. Transparency forward would be appreciated so that diners know what to expect, or maybe they build the fee into the cost of the meal instead of adding it as a separate fee.
When we found out Nasturtium was open to the public for restaurant week we immediately made our reservation. The food was absolutely phenomenal. All of the dishes were filled with heart and flavor. Chef Mitch really out did himself with his choices for the menu. We were utterly impressed and can’t wait for next years restaurant week!
