I liked it, staff were spot on, menu was good, the owners have a few pubs selling gastro foods, ticked the boxes.Wasn’t mega posh, but a huge step up from the Wetherspoons.Steak was tasty, needs more local produce though.
Asked for menu switch outs. Swapped chips for eggs and bacon. Very accommodating it was no problem. Delicious steak too. Lovely place and the hand wash in the loo was gorgeous!
Average pub food with the price of a higher-end pub. The burgers and chicken were decent, but both the chips and onion rings were overly greasy. The overall experience was disappointing, and the prices were too high considering the quality of the food.

Went for family Birthday get together, booked ! Only the 5 of us and one other table of 2 in eating! Over an hour to serve our food with problems in the kitchen we were told ! When it arrived it was mediocre to say the least! Small portions of fish, stale buns on the Halloumi burgers ,cheap and nasty coleslaw and inspide chips ! The highlight not was mahogony Brown onion and Spring onion ??? Rings ! I know times are hard and we regularly eat in the sister pub The Ruddington Arms but you need to step up if you want to survive White Lion !!!
