Abuela's Mexican - Rusk

My friend and I visited this restaurant for lunch, and since I live just next door, I can't believe I hadn't tried it until now. I can only say good things about the experience. The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

The homemade chips and salsa were definitely the highlight, as they kept us well supplied. The service was excellent. However, I felt the prices were a bit high for the quality of the food we received. We ordered the chili relleno, which was small and not very impressive for $11.99 with ground beef. The burrito, which also had ground beef, was decent but felt more like a $5.99 item, yet it was priced at $10.99. It was good but quite small, leaving me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. Perhaps I'm just accustomed to the real Mexican food back in California, where you can find authentic and reasonably priced options. For instance, there's a food truck in Alto where burritos are only $8.99, and they're fantastic.

Overall, the food is quite satisfying, although the service could use some improvement and the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired.
