Lakeside Thai American - Ruther Glen

The food is of high quality and very delicious, especially the Pad Thai! I believe the owner runs the place all by himself, so service can be a bit slow. However, it's definitely worth the wait!

I should have taken the hint when I initially tried to place my order over the phone. The person on the other end kept asking who I was and refused to take my order because he didn’t recognize my name, blaming a previous customer who didn’t pick up their order. This isn’t a great way to grow your business. Once again, I regret choosing this place out of convenience when I was really in the mood for Thai food.

The food is great, but the service is quite slow. I absolutely love the egg rolls and the Thai tea—so delicious! That tea is perfect for a hot day by the pool or at the beach.

Amazing green curry. Simply amazing. Authentic thai veggies cooked perfectly, the chicken literally melts in your mouth. Perfectly spicy and a generous serving. My only complaint is that I didn't know about this place sooner. I have been driving to either Richmond or Fredericksburg from Ruther Glen to get my thai fix and this newly opened restaurant has been less than 5 minutes from my door for a full month. And a plus- the owner is a seasoned RC hobbyist. Plenty of larger scale airplanes, quadcopters and the like hanging from the walls.
