As a Texan, I expect more from a BBQ joint than dry, flavorless meat and old sausages. It's disappointing when the best part of a meal is a side dish (the macaroni was actually the highlight). I would rather eat at a place with better food options, as the dining choices in this area are already lacking. Overall, I would recommend passing on this restaurant and instead buying frozen BBQ from the store and heating it yourself. You'll be much happier.
The brisket tacos are straightforward, but delicious. The potato salad and coleslaw were very fresh and tasted homemade. The atmosphere is a lovely option compared to the limited choices in Ladysmith.
The restaurant appears to be clean and pleasant. However, I was disappointed to find my sandwich to be dry. It is a family-owned business and the staff were very friendly. I plan on returning to try a different dish. My teenager really enjoyed the mac n cheese.
That was my second visit here. When I first went, it was really good. the second time I stuck in this part of nowhere, I was excited to get a good meal. I even snapped to my friend how good it was. Unfortunately it wasn't good. my pulled chicken was really dry. the mac n-cheese had a strange after the taste. her meal wasn't better. we both ate less than half. it depends on who cooks. I'll never find out. I don't like spending money on eating that goes into the garbage.
Taco meets barbecue and pleasantly surprises you. I have tried several of the items on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Please give them a try!
