Jones Winery - Rutherglen

Went today for impromptu Sunday lunch and very glad the reviews on trip advisor alerted us to this fabulous place! Started well by being greeted by the friendly Arthur who apologised for us having to wait 15 minutes for a table..no big deal as we wandered outside to look at the gallery and spotted the two British Bulldogs bonus! After chatting to Arthur about our mutual adoration for this breed we were shown to our table by a lovely waitress and that was the start of a very enjoyable afternoon. The food was divine (the duck followed by the dark chocolate tart...best I’ve had for both) and two lovely glasses of the 2015 Jones Shiraz. The restaurant was warm and cosy and we couldn’t hear the normal noise of a busy kitchen which was a nice change. The waitresses were knowledgeable and very professional and well presented. Will definitely be returning and recommending it to all our friends. 5 stars from us!

Absolutely, hands down, the best winery around. Do yourself a favour and have a tasting session with Arthur! A top bloke with fabulous wines and great yarns.

Discovered this little gem this week. What a treat, great dining experience, wonderful cuisine and great service.

A lovely French meal in very cosy and comfortable surroundings, with excellent service, all made our grey Winter's Sunday very nice indeed. Many thanks to all the management and staff of Jones Winery and Restaurant. We will be sure to visit again.
