Rutherglen Eastern Palace Chinese

Ate here in August 2014. Although many may argue it's not 100% authentic, the food tasted fresh, the vegetables in our meals were gorgeous, and the servings are very generous. Great little spot and perfect after a day out visiting the local wineries. Can recommend.

Very nice little chinese adjacent to the hotel, or as a room off the hotels dining room, sit in either section and have Chinese or Australian fare. We had Beef satay and chrispy wontons then Mongolian Pork sizzling plate and Kang Po Chicken (always different everywhere you go) and rice. Well presented with cutlery rather than chopsticks. We also ate here in the Hotel dining room and had steak and seafood platters on a separate night and that was great too.

Best Chinese meal I have had in years. Good service, clean kitchen, fresh and absolutely delicious food. Good value. Will certainly go back. Worth the drive. Left really satisfied. 5 out of 5

Seriously good food but slow service No table service anymore- you have to queue to order... Great gluten free menu. Please turn the aircon on earlier- it was very hot. Why no Gluten free steak dishes??? It's not hard

I ordered over the phone for pick up, staff was very friendly and repeated my order to confirm. When we got there to pick it up, they have a bell to ring for service, although seemed like no one heard it when we rung it twice over a few minutes (it was a Friday night so we assumed they were just busy) only 5 mins until someone walked past and served us Food was amazing! Satay chicken has the most tender chicken I have even had in my entire life, feels like you’re eating cotton candy! We ordered a large special fried rice and although we were given a small, it was still delicious! Will definitely go back, highly recommend, hopefully someone will hear the bell next time
