Old Plough Inn - Rutland

The staff at this restaurant is welcoming and friendly, offering great service. The free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and biscuits provided are the best I have ever had. The fluffy towels are also a standout feature. The food was incredibly good, just like the rooms. The included breakfast was excellent. This is a friendly pub where children and dogs are welcome, and the diverse clientele made for a pleasant stay. We have no complaints and highly recommend a visit. Thank you to all the lovely staff. I give it a 10/10 rating.

We arrived at the restaurant late and only booked a table 20 minutes before online. The level of service was excellent. We had a meal with our two children and it was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing. We have added it to our list of favorite restaurants. Thank you for having us!

We followed one of the rutland walks yesterday and ended the old plough for lunch. it was a beautiful country pub, complete with log fire, perfect for lunch after a walk. the bar had gastales and apple wine and a nice lunch menu. our eating was spot, tasty and generous in portions. can not recommend this place very much, looking forward to a return visit!

We visited this restaurant twice at night. The first visit was shortly after the new owners took over, and the second visit was this week. Our first experience was excellent - a traditional pub atmosphere, a great variety of food and drinks, and comfortable rooms. Our most recent visit was even better. The menu has been updated to include delicious pub classics, and the specials board adds a fantastic touch. The pub had a cozy fire to keep us warm during storm Doris, and the restaurant hosted a popular pub quiz alongside a curry night. We appreciated the renovations that had been done, including high-quality carpets, hand towels, and bed linen. The room was clean and comfortable. We were especially grateful for the immediate switch to a disabled access room for my wife, who is currently on crutches. The wide doors and wet room were much appreciated. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to return once their new Korean BBQ is up and running!

We enjoyed a one night stay here and loved it! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Family room was a good size, clean and the beds super comfortable. The food in the pub was great and so was the breakfast the next day. Would recommend.
