Layla Mezze Grill - Rye

We had a lovely experience! My partner and I dined here in Rye before our departure, without any expectations, and it turned out to be a delightful and delicious meal. We enjoyed sharing the moussaka, acili ezme, and sukak. The moussaka was wonderfully creamy and delicious. The portion sizes are decent for a main dish and two mezze to share between two people, though if you're very hungry, you might want to order 2-3 mezze or an additional main. The prices are reasonable; I found it a bit cheaper than similar places in London for skewers or grilled dishes, and the mezze are much more affordable. I believe the delicious, well-prepared dishes are worth the price. I even saw a woman next to us order a massive aubergine dish with couscous that looked fantastic—I would love to return to Rye just to try that! Unfortunately, we regretted having to catch our train as we wanted to savor our meal longer.

On a weeknight, we had a table for seven, and we were pleased with the array of activities available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, with generous portions. The mixed kebab my partner ordered was particularly impressive, with the chicken and lamb cooked perfectly and juicy. The service was prompt, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I would definitely recommend it.

We visited the Turkish restaurant layla after we had found that the abb was packed directly on the street, and was not able to serve lunch on 2.45 hrs. he believed that we did not have to fight against a table we tried layla. in restaurant there was no more. the waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much annoyed. we had two meals with drinks for £20. delicious food. I was disappointed that the falafel looked bought instead of homemade. this is so easy to make fresh that I have reduced my stars from 5 to 4. we had one in our party to eat gluten-free (not coeliac) and they were happy to take off Bulgarian wheat for chips.

The best lambs of all time! service well allows us to sit before it resigns and the manager is very friendly and the staff is very helpful

The food was delightful, the atmosphere was relaxed during lunch, and the front-of-house waitress was incredibly friendly.
