The new proprietors appear to be making every effort to provide walkers and visitors with an opportunity to sample their hospitality. There is easy access for all and has car parking within a few metres for those who have difficulty in walking. The afternoon tea which is available if pre booked looked wonderful and reasonably priced. Garden is dog friendly which is a big plus for us.
We had a fantastic afternoon tea in the garden after a delightful walk along the riverbank from Pickering with our two dogs. The food was all homemade and as vegetarians, we were pleased with the specially prepared dishes for us. The staff was welcoming and friendly.
What a wonderful experience! The setting was incredible, with delicious cakes and snacks, and the added bonus of steam trains passing by in the distance. This place is truly incredible.
Lived in Pickering all my life never knew about this place until a friend recommend it. Beautiful gardens. Friendly service, Lovely fresh foods, gluten free options and even gave the dog a treat
Fabulous tea garden and rooms. We stayed for a few nights and sampled the wonderful cakes in the garden. It's really tranquil and picturesque. The hosts Helen and John are lovely people too. Highly recommended.
