Wonderful and authentic French food. The service level is top notch from start to finish. The acoustics make for an atmosphere that is a little bit noisy. Outside dining is a great option. Crab and mango appetizer is very good. Scallop entree was also yummy.

1st timers my Bday celebration. Food quality, plating taste all “A”, but our 2 cocktails really sucked, our server even forgot to bring mine even after 30+ minutes at the table, I think he knew we should pass on them, a sign ? Yummy desserts. The true French woman chef knows her stuff came out of her kitchen in full chef whites as the cooking winded down the restaurant emptied by early 8:30ish, sooo Downtown La Jolla I guess. My Duck Confit was superb, the Pork Chop Lamb entrees decent, the Apps very good the French bread superb. Would recommend. Au Revoir.

We love Bistro du Marche in LaJolla as it reminds us of the delicious food in Paris. The fish dishes are superb; service excellent! I highly recommend dining at Bistro du Marche if you enjoy French prepared food or would like to try! We like to eat a meal there after a show at LaJolla Playhouse or a special family occasion!

First, the dinner menu on the website does not match the actual menu in the restaurant. The wild boar specialty was not available... The Ravioli appetizer...$7 for each of the four lukewarm raviolis. The Wagyu beef entree was a huge disappointment: the tiny piece of beef was part of a dark molasses combined with other unrecognizable stuff. The sea bass was ok. Two big glasses of wine for $58 kind of steep. My recommendation: order a salad (which was decent), skip the entrees and go for the dessert. Even better: visit France (other than Paris) and you will enjoy excellent cuisine at great value.

We were celebrating an early Father's Day. The evening was perfect. From our table to precise martinis to delicious food cooked as requested to a sublime dessert (floating island) there is nothing we would change. Our waiter Eric went above and beyond, and the whole wait staff was friendly and efficient. Just a wonderful evening again.
