We always order the quesadillas, beans, rice, elote and a handful of tacos. Our favorites are the squashroom, steak, porkbelly, carnitas and eainbow cauliflower. And the margs!!
Service was great and friendly I ordered the Baja fish taco and the steak taco my son ordered the steak taco and chicken quesadillas. The steak taco was so good! Baja was pretty good as well. my son did not like the quesadillas. Margarita was delicious and we caught happy hour! We are out of towners and would come back to this place again!
An upscale bar serving up creative tacos. To sum up this Bib-Gourmand awarded taqueria in one word, Tryhard. Its extreme focus on being different and innovative (which I understand, the competition in downtown is fierce, and the award is too important to lose) has derailed its entire direction. Its imitation of fine dining made it a shell of restaurant and fancy tacos is just a bad concept. The bartender was quick and friendly and did a great job introducing the menu, and the decoration and atmosphere was delightful.I have never ever seen in the entirety of my life a place that calls guacamole avocado mousse , let alone finding a woody stem of avocado in said mousse. The Al Pastor Taco has a whole piece of pork belly, leading to the fat not being rendered properly and marinade not going through the meat. The Carnitas Taco was bland and I really do not appreciate being served raw astringent tomatillo slices. I was so disappointed that I did not even complain about the stem.To conclude, you would have better chances of finding good tacos in food trucks and roadside taco stands, than to waste your money going to this fancy place.
Great tacos and the bartenders are suuuuper friendly. The tacos are small but thats more opportunity to order more! I got the fish, rainbow cauliflower, and squahsroom tacos elote. I'd recommend the squa-shroom the cauliflower. The mushrooms and fish were heavily breaded deep fried, but still very tasty.Food: 5/5
Stopped in on a Tuesday evening and the crowd was small, but you could tell there were local regulars that was a good sign. I had the steak, pork belly, and the Baja fish tacos and they were spectacular. The service was friendly and attentive. Even though the place was not busy, it seemed to take a little more than average for the length of time for 3 tacos. I could see it taking a very long time if this place was busy. The beer selection was small but good, with some good local beers on tap.
