It wa a wonderful evening and our first visit. We definitely will return and earlier to beat the entertainment volume.
We started with Shrimp Cocktail but it was dry and overcooked. Hubby had the Filet Oscar which was excellent. I had Chicken Picatta which was ok. The service was excellent. Servers were very gracious and attentive. But the restaurant was very quiet and lacked any music to set the ambiance and made us very tired and sleepy. It's a nice place but very boring.
Our waiter was behind all night with us waiting long periods between salad to dinner. We were thinking of ordering dessert but it was so long between. I finished the night with an empty water glass and as a women was never asked if I would like another drink.
From the incredible Caesar salad made tableside to the melt in your mouth tender flambeed peppercorn steak, it was a very special evening. The ambiance and service are unmatched and the attention to detail brings forth perfection.
My wife and I came here for our anniversary. It was a Tuesday night, but everything was exactly what you would expect from a high end Italian restaurant. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable, the food was incredible. We loved the atmosphere. It was so cool to go into a piano bar in La Jolla with actual brick walls. The house specialty Cannelloni is a specialty for a reason. We got tiramisu for dessert and it was honestly the best tiramisu we've ever had. We were blown away all around.
