We almost never have to when we stay at other Marriott resorts. At first, getting to the room was unusual. We took one elevator from the parking lot to another elevator to get to our room. Now the location is amazing. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and things to do. You probably will have to pay for some of the activities/sightseeing that are around here. You can do lots of walking around and then go chill at some parks at the ocean. I don't plan on ever coming back, but we'll see. Never say never.
For amount of charges the service is as minimum as possible. Stinky like old wet carpet with mold. Personnel’s are made to do no help. Parking charges extra than other places in town. Parking place is so tide and uncomfortable . Has smallest possible pool for 27 floor of residents with sever smell of chlorineElevators are old with smell of urineWhat else should I say?
The hotel was pretty cozy and stuffy at the same time. That’s because it’s on top of a building. It was clean as it could be and the staff was pretty friendly. Parking garage from level 7-11 pretty swirly to get up there parking for $35 and valet for $50 everyday. The bathroom drainage you could hear it every time you turn on the faucet or shower or flush the toilet.Food drinks: There are cool donut shops and taco places walking distance away about a block away.
We have stayed at this hotel 3 different times now. Overall, we have liked it, which is why we continued to return. However, we were extremely disappointed by the staff during our last stay. We left our room in the morning to go out for the day, and upon returning, our daughter's stuffed animal (which she is very attached to), was missing. Housekeeping had been there while we were gone. We immediately went to the front desk, and were told they would check with housekeeping. Nothing. We were the ones that had to suggest they check with the laundry service, in case it got gathered up with bedding. Still nothing. They have been very unapologetic, and have treated this like WE lost an item, when in reality their staff TOOK an item from our room when we were not there. We have called the hotel back since checking out, as well as reached out to Marriott, and nothing has been found.
Any Marriott we have stayed at always delivers a quality experience. My primary concern is the aggressive sales tactics employed here. I think Marriott owes its current owners more respect and concern when it comes to these presentations. For example.1. No presentation is required if the owner has purchased within the last 30 days.2. More presentation times either earlier or later in the day.3. There should be no ultimatum tactics for the getaway pricing. Being told, we will charge you full price, if you don 't show up, is insulting and completely unnecessary.San Diego is an awesome city and so is the Marriott brand. But please listen to me on this one. Change your tactics, your approach, and your general appreciation of owners.
