PiPaMex - Saalbach

Pipamex meaning Pizza, Pasta and Mexican is actually a great idea. Everyone in our extended family find dishes very much to their liking. The boys had T-bone steaks and the girls different pasta dishes - all mede to perfection.

An und für sich Mexikanisches Essen. Leider wird hier der Geschmack aber nicht so richtig getroffen. Nicht schlecht, aber eben auch nicht gut. Zudem kommt leider das "überforderte" Personal hinzu, welches der deutschen Sprache nicht ganz so mächtig ist. Vielleicht lag es aber auch daran, das dass Lokal im Keller gelegen ziemlich voll war und zuwenig Personal anwesend war. Zumindest hatten wir mit unseren deutschen Tischnachbarn großen Spass, das war aber auch schon das positivste an diesem Abend. Essenspreise sind halbwegs ok, aber Getränkepreise sind sehr überhöht.

Man kann hier, selten in Saalbach, auch noch nach 21 h etwas essen. Das war aber auch das einzig Positive.Das Essen war nichts Besonderes. Einige haben etwas serviert bekommen, das sie als ungenießbar eingestuft haben.Das Personal war teils freundlich, teils extrem unfreundlich. Deutsch spricht keiner.

As a college we visit pipamex each year from the UK with 52 students and have never had an issue. A good bit of business for the restaurant or so you would think. We were made to feel as though the manager Dom (think this was his name) was doing us a favour letting us eat here. We could not pay with a mixture of cash and card ( the manager nearly had a meltdown) and totally ignored us for nearly an hr following the meal before demanding the bill be paid fully by card, very awkward as the students all had cash. Food was nice and the bar man from Holland was very helpful and made excellent drinks. Seems you don't need customers these days. The rest of the staff were also very helpful. We won't be going again.

Couldn´t believe our eyes when the staff was cuddling a dog in the kitchen. The quality of the food did not motivate the high prices. Noisy restaurant Some dishes on the menu were sold out. Information about this was given when we tried to order. Not popular with kids :-(
