Yoshi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Loved this place! Love the boat!The place is in need of a facelift. My partner jokes in had not changed since she was there 10 yrs ago!But, other than that it's a fun, quiet place to go for some yummy sushi and a few drinks.We go 2-3 times a month and the price is always right!

We have been going to Yoshi's Sushi since it opened. It was our favourite restaurant in Victoria. We have not been for many years, however decided to meet a family member there for dinner. In the past the tempura was delicious; light batter, very crispy and delicious. The assorted Tempura used to come with prawns. We ordered it this time as an appetizer - it arrived , thickly battered and soggy. There were no prawns and only about 8 - 10 veggies. Pretty pricey at $13.95. We had to ask for side plates and sauce dishes. Only one dish of tempura dipping sauce was offered. We each ordered the Robata Oysters which were ok (but not as good as they used to be). We shared a few rolls - one was mediocre, the other was ok. We ordered dessert (tempura bananas). Only one order arrived and we had to wait for the next. We had to wait for spoons. The service was sporadic and inconsistent and generally disinterested. The restaurant could use some redecorating - it hasn't been changed since it opened 15plus years ago. I hope the owners take a look at the menu and customer service and return it to its previous 5 star experience. However, for now - go elsewhere.

This restaurant was a great experience. Very authentic with great service. Small booths and very comfortable. Food is amazing.

We've ordered take-out, and even though we were late for pick-up we still had to wait additional 15 min 'cuz they were not ready. and the reception lady wasn't nice about it but rather defensive borderline rude.on the positive note the food wasn't so bad. sushi was average, but the chicken teriyaki was pretty good so we can recommend it.

Wonderful is all I can say. The service was great. Very attentive to our needs. Great restaurant with private booths. Food was great. Everything we ordered was on point.
