Hashimoto - Saarbrücken

Since the time this restaurant is in town (quite a few decades) I enjoyed frequently this excellent representative of the Japanese kitchen. This time we took three different menus, each of which were fabulous. We look forward to come again!

Tl;dr Beautiful restaurant although stiff atmosphere. Food is amazing, definitely worth the money. Service is great, everything in time. At first glance, the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a slight mordern feel to it, despite being traditional. As beautiful as it is, the atmosphere seemed a little stiff. The corner decorated with several japanese furniture and figurines seemed a little odd, it looked like an exposition in a museum rather than make it seem more casual/home y, but I suppose it 's like interesting to look at. I went there with a friend to treat her to authentic japanese cuisine, and that 's what we got. We both went for the 7 course omakase (Chefs Choice for 60€. The food was amazing, undeniably delicious. It was a fantastic experience throughout and well balanced. In between heavy courses you 're given palate cleansers. The food is mostly kept traditional, it 's a play on your tastebuds. (The next part can be skipped since the menu changes seasonally, just here for other readers to estimate the worth of the dishes roughly. In the 7 courses we enjoyed: 1. A plate of several appetizers 2. A soup with silky tofu (with shrimp 3. A platter of various sushi and sashimi 4. Baked salmon in foil with a variety of mushrooms 5. A small salad (I remember the taste of daikon and persimmon 6. Duck breast in Teriyaki sauce, with a bowl of rice with vegetables, beef filet with garlic crisps, potato purée and a pickled plum 7. Matcha cake with several fruit in it, on the side pickled pear and soy ice cream and on the side a soy sauce reduction In my opinion the price is high, yet very reasonable for the experience you 're getting. It 's worth every cent you 're putting into. Although it seems much, it 's much better balanced than several course restaurants I 've visited. The service is very friendly and uplifting, although the explanation on the dishes became less and less detailed which didn 't bother much but was just something we had noticed. Everything was brought in timely fashion and there 's nothing I could criticise. All in all an exceptional experience and very worth visiting and coming back to!

Tasty sushi and great steaks. I highly recommend. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent.

In this restaurant everything fits: the ambience, the varied map, the friendly staff and the craftsmanship of the chefs. Here is cooked on a level he is looking for: the products are of the highest quality and are treated with reverence and devotion. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants we visited.

Wow! This describes the foods here absolutely true. We had a surprise with the chef menu. Every band was tastefully angry. All the ingredients used were perfectly prepared to the i-tape and the different textures were brilliantly harmonized. We definitely come back:
