Hohsaas - Saas-Grund

Very nice food for really reasonable prices. There are other locations in Valais (not on 3200m but less) where you have to pay more to get less. Very good service which gives you every time the feeling to be welcome (also this is not the case in all locations in this region).

A beautiful large restaurant that seems to actually cook food rather than prepacked, with very friendly staff. We had a bowl of the soup of the day- minestrone. very nice. Not cheap but what do you expect at 2000m! It has a terrace.

Well-maintained slopes, good parking, free WiFi We have been coming here for years, mainly in winter to ski. Always beautiful, even if there is hardly any snow in the valley. Gladly again.

Driving on a glacier is impressive! Day ticket 60. rather expensive for the size of the ski area, parking is also available (12. a day). Has private parking spaces in front of the valley station for CHF 5.

For those who do not want to sleep in Weissmishütte, a great starting point for two four-thousanders: Weissmis and Lagginhorn.
