D. Sancho - Sabugal

We absolutely loved this intimate restaurant in a lovely village. The menu is varied with lots of lovely dishes from the caçadores (hunters) veal, wild boar, goat and at our second visit I had a juicy beautifully cooked rib eye steak. Service was lovely and measured, and the food was traditional but delicious. Nice wine list.

One year later we returned in April. We had that baked octopus with a very nice robust Alentejo wine.. It was everything we had hoped it would be. Simply excellent. In our view there is no place better to eat the best food ever. We will back next year. Thank you.

We peered through the windows of this restaurant and saw people happily eating lovely meals, it looked so cosy and they all looked so happily content and snug we ha to go in. It was out of season and this was a lovely place to be. So glad we did. We returned twice that holiday and have just booked ahead for the next holiday. Lovely owners, wonderful food, lovely wine. Next time going to explore that Octopus that two local people were tucking into last time we were here. One of the 'most dos ' of our stays here.

Excellent house made eating. we tried real and local aromen by sortelha, heartwarm! beautiful place in the castle it is definitiw a visit both sortelha and the restaurant worth. the staff is too home and so beautiful! thank you. céu, the cook and her staff for a beautiful meal!
