This is a working man's lunch stop, with a father cooking and son serving in the upstairs dining area. The son spoke English, and when we asked for lunch, he asked if we liked beef and spaghetti, because that is what they had prepared that day, no menus, so that was what we had plus a carafe of a sweeter red than we normally had drunk. We shared our repast, which cost 17 euro, and thanked the father and son for the friendly conversation, when his dad brought out the homemade ginjinha, a sweet delicious and potent cherry liquor.
