One got the soup and salad and could barely eat all of it. I had the seafood platter which was extremely tasty. All of the above items are highly recommended by our group as is this quaint little gem.
We always like to eat lunch here when passing through the area. The Inn is charming; with an ambience from another age. The lunch menu is short, interesting and well priced. Plus it's always tasty and well presented. We chose the soup and sandwich and smoked salmon on a bagel options. Both were delicious. Chowder was substituted for the soup of the day offering. The bagel ate with a large and interesting salad. Our only issue on this visit was the 30 minute wait time from ordering to serving. The delay was hard to fathom as we were the only diners at the tail end of the lunch period.
The food at this location is excellent. recently had lunch with a group of 8 and each of us ordered a different dish and everyone raved about their choice. Delicious homemade dinner rolls are served hot as if they just came out of the oven. Lunch is over at 2:00 pm and dinner starts at 5:00 with a completely different menu. The atmosphere is wonderful. A must place to experience in Sackville, New Brunswick
My sister and I have discovered this fantastic Inn a few years ago, and we stop in frequently for lunch. The menu is not very elaborate, but that is fine. They have excellent choices and the food is simply outstanding. We've tried their soups, sandwiches, pastas and seafood. Our meals usually include salads and homemade bread. Our favorite is the oatmeal & molasses bread. The freshness and quality of the food is fantastic, they don't skimp on portion sizes, and prices are very reasonable. I recommend this to anyone searching for a fine dining experience in a most charming atmosphere.
This hundred year old restaurant is in an awkward phase right now. The building is lovely, and the menu is pretty good if absolutely boring, staid, and static, but the service is slower than slow.
