Amato's Italian Sandwich Shops - Saco

Wonderful homemade Italian food with gracious service. Must try the veal Florentine meatballs haddock chowder.

The marsh was great, even with the cars whizzing by... the other guests ranged from families with kids and a number of older couples, but I did see a very young couple who seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a bit. The waitresses were pleasant, even if ours did forget to bring my husband's soup!

An Italian and a Barq's Root Beer for $7.09. I felt ripped off, especially with the stale bread and the ribs from the green pepper instead of the flesh of the pepper. Never again. Have been to several Amato's and they all are getting to be the same. Shame on you Dom!

I love Amato's Italian Sandwich Shops and we do not have them in the south! BUMMER! There regular ham Italians are the best! They make everything right there. The pickles are a signature staple of Amato's! And the little stuffers are to die for! Quick, Tasty, At A Great Price!

Amato's Italians are a bit different from the other local shops. I love the black olives on a ham Italian. Good thing I only get to Maine a few times a year......
