Camellia Coffee Roasters - Sacramento

My wife wanted to go to a coffee shop and she saw this one and decided we give it a shot.Parking was super easy on a Sunday which was surprising but not as surprising as the line that was there, it was out the door. I almost said let's not.. lol but I'm glad we didn't! We brought our 2 kids with us and it was fairly easy with them since the line moved relatively quick.We came for the horchata cold brew and man.. that thing was soooo good!! So good my wife almost went back in line (mind you the line was just as long as when we got there) to get another one!! Instead I just gave her the rest of mine, I was still sort of cracked out from the preworkout prior so I figure less caffeine the better. But seriously, get the horchata cold brew! We'd go back just for that, obviously.Food wise I got the smoked salmon with cream cheese, that's normally on a bagel but they were out so they put it on the brioche bun and i think it was amazing.. I devoured that thing soooo quickly lmao. I thought it was going to be a weird combination but it was literally amazing plus the texture of the bun helped add a nice crisp too it that wasn't too overpowering so if anything that might be their new signature instead of it coming with bagel.My wife got the omelet sandwich and she loved it, she added bacon and it's the first restaurant that doesn't cheap out on bacon!99.9/100 recommend!

My favorite coffee shop in Sacramento for sure! Definitely helps that they have the BEST breakfast sandwich I've had too!I enjoy coming here for their horchata cold brew with oat milk. I've had it so many times now, that I believe I've found the perfect fit. The horchata cold brew is already pre-made, and for my taste buds, it is a bit too sweet. My perfect combo is 3/4 of the horchata cold brew, and the rest of the 1/4 to be filled with their standard cold brew. Definitely cuts the sweetness out!Now comes the breakfast sandwich. It does take awhile for them to make it (especially if they are busy), but it is always SO good. The sandwich comes with a two-egg omelette, cheese, scallions, cholula spread, on brioche bun with your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, or veggie). I've had them both and I've them both in one!Only downside is there is limited indoor seating, and there are no outlets available.Otherwise, this is my go-to spot. Every time I'm in Sacramento, this is a MUST for the morning or a good afternoon pick me up for the drive back down to the bay.Street parking only. See you soon Camellia's!

Given the harshness of the world, the seemingly inevitable economic and ecological collapse, and the propagation of endless conspiracy theories in an incredibly divisive country, finding a charming cup of coffee served by nice people in a good atmosphere feels almost spiritual. Every single member on staff here is so kind and giving. It makes you want to go out and figure out how you, too, can give back to your community. It's just coffee. But also it's so much more. The interior is beyond beautiful and cute. The coffee is delicious. Very positive vibes! 20/10 would Camellia again!

April 28, 2023 OWNER CAMELLIA COFFEE ROASTERS 1104 R STREET SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA 95814 Dear Sir or Miss This will be review Number Two of this place/restaurant! Thank you to Kelley (female) and to Daniel! I ordered a Vegetable Sandwich! Cost of $9.79 with tax, so yes, the usual ten dollars I have was enough! It had melted cheese, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes in it! I ask for water, there are cups to pour the water! It was Kelley that took my order! When the order was ready it was Daniel that called out the name for the order! I am seeing the Green Restaurant Passing says date of November 18, 2022 with N/A for previous date pass! When I ask them, they both say this restaurant has been open since September 2022! Wow, so this is new! I do then want to wish your restaurant the very best of luck! Coffee is good but it's s a PITA to get anymore lol.If they're not randomly closed, there's a massive wait with their new ordering system at their new location. Stopped coming here because of the 30-45min wait, or they're closed even when they say they're open.They don't post their random closure days on their website or IG ever, so you'll get here to find a sign on the locked doors. You can even order online, suggesting they're open, when they're not open (e.g. today 2/8/23). We've sadly had to give up on trying to come here, even on weekdays in the middle of the morning.Save yourself the frustration of getting here to find out they're closed or that the line is out the door for a 45min wait (this is the only coffee shop in town that needs those line chains/ropes like you're at Disneyland), and go to Temple on 16th instead.
