Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters

For some reason, this location was designed without any electrical outlets in the café area. If you're hoping to grab a drink and work here, be warned.

I had a large cold brew for $3.75, but I was hoping it would be a good spot to work on my laptop. Unfortunately, the interior is quite echoey, which makes it difficult to concentrate. The toasts did look quite appealing, though.

I usually visit the other Chocolate Fish in East Sac, and I really enjoy it. The staff there are friendly and welcoming, and they're familiar with drinks like a dirty matcha latte. When I asked for one at this little bean hut, the girl didn't know what it was and even said she wasn't sure how it would turn out. I think it's better to just make the drink without casting doubt on it. It would be great if they hired people who are knowledgeable about more than just their limited menu. The other location is outstanding, and as for the drink I ordered here, it was delicious, just as I expected.

Pretty good coffee, on the lighter side but very smooth. Got the Lavender Latte, which offered Ghiradelli chocolate (not sure syrup or real chocolate) and that was fantastic! Almost tasted like a dessert coffee- perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. On the more expensive side? $7 for a regular size latte. 3 spots in the lot 2 handicap, so you're likely to park on the street (which is 1h except 9-7pm, except Sat/Sun). Good to do work solo, or have a (quiet) convo with friends since not too loud.

Just moved into the neighborhood and this is a great shop for coffee.
