While menu was limited, the food choices were delicious. (We had pasta, salmon and sliders) The place is in a residential area so diners appear to be mostly local. The place is intimate, casual type of place. This is no bar scene but their sangria waa great. Only one server the night we went so pace was slower than we would have liked but she was nice and helpful. Street parking was plenty so not an issue. Though we went on a weekday.

My wife and I went with another couple on a Friday evening. simply this for a review: Super service, the specials and entrees presentation were beautiful and the flavors unbelievably good. Steak skirt steak), and fish halibut and salmon) were melt in your mouth. and don't forget the roasted veges: a great accompaniment. we live in east Sacramento with many very good restaurants; however, I believe Poppy to be the best: excellent fare at the most reasonable prices. Another great meal from Mama Kim at Poppy.I have had the pleasure of having tasted the food catered from Mama Kim and this was the second time eating at the restaurant. Food was delicious and the service was good. We will definitely go back.
