We arrived on Monday near 3:00. It wasn't too busy. We were greeted when we came in and sat right away. The food came hot, fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go back. FYI, a squeeze with cheese and frits is probably enough for 2 people.
This place was very reviewed and people traveled over the onion rings, so I decided to give this place a shot. You go to this place and it just feels like a typical diner. The staff were friendly and they immediately took my order. I couldn't ask for anything in this respect. I ordered a double cheeseburger and some onion rings. The onion rings first arrived and I started dipping directly. When I ate them, they seemed fine. I couldn't find anything special about her. Nothing that would make me say to the whole world is great. If anyone ever was in Frankies in Dallas, these onion rings are phenomenal. When the burger arrived, he certainly looked at the water. Two juicy patches on top of each other and the cheese was simply meletized at the bottom of the sides. What could be wrong with that? The taste! Uncertain if the restaurant tons of salt or if the cheese it uses is very salty. It doesn't take much before the salt overwhelms everything. And perhaps a lot is due to the fact that half of the cheese is burned on the grill. It was an excessive amount. I would strongly suggest they use 1/3 less cheese or they use slices of cheese instead of the crushed Cheddar. As I eat, these Burger portions began to fall appart. There was no bungalow at this point. It became a victim of chaos on my plate. This led to the collection of the remaining individual patents. When I tasted these patties on them without the cheese, they seemed very blasphemy and were perfectly shaped like the frozen patties you buy from the store. Were they? I don't know, but with a perfect form can certainly show some kind of processing before preparation. I tried to finish everything, but ended up with a lump of cheese the size of a cookie. It was too salty to finish and suck the burnt cheese taste. After the burger I went back to the onion rings. After overheating with sodium in the burger, the onion rings tasted like garbage. At this point I just paid and left.
Squeeze Inn is a favorite for the last 7 years. I'm sad that the one in downtown Sacramento was closed because that was my introduction. The frits are big enough to share 2 and honestly, the squeezing with cheese is probably also. Service she was a little curt, but they made good food (remembered of restaurants in France this way...
Large portions, but long wait for food. Not a place if you?re dieting or have an aversion to greasy food. Was disappointed that our order took 20 min. my Cheese Burger was so soggy on the bottom that I couldn?t pick it up without it falling apart the melted cheese skirt made the lettuce wilt. Not appetizing to look at very messy to eat. I?m sure they have their loyal following but I will stick to In N Out for my burgers fries!
