I don 't know if there is any grounds to it, but I always heard that it started as Aldaberto 's which after the owners divorce, half of the locations split as part of the settlement. Then it was Aldaberto 's and Carolina 's. The other 3, Adanberto 's, Aldanberto 's, and Adarberto 's are all variations of the same business just owned by different family members. That 's what most of us in the area grew up hearing, so I 'm not entirely sure how much of that is true or not. For the sake of simplicity, I 'm going to be referring to all these locations as Addy 's. I 've been coming to Addy 's variants for probably a decade at this point so I feel like I 'm qualified to talk about them. To start, they are the most consistent restaurant I 've ever been to, good and bad. I appreciate the fact that they are open 24/7 because it means after being out late at night I can go ahead and get a massive portion of food for cheap. They 're fairly quick at making my food which is always a plus. As for customer service, they 've never been known for it. This is a conversation I have had many many times rolling through Addy 's: Hello Me: Hi can I get a (Insert my order) Addy 's: Ok Me: And that 's it Addy 's: (silent for a minute) Go ahead That 's typically how it goes every time at every location. We always look past the customer service aspect though because we love the food. I always get a #23 which is a breakfast burrito that has scrambled eggs, cheese, and beans. I usually add rice, sour cream, and potatoes (fries) to it. They have salsas at the window and I always make sure to grab a few salsa verde with it. They can even throw some inside the burrito when they 're rolling it if you want it to be evenly dispersed. My friends usually get a #24 which is eggs, cheese, bacon, potatoes. Their burritos are very solid choices always. With that being said, the rest of the food I would never recommend ordering. The quesadilla, tacos, rolled tacos, and nachos have all been mistakes any time we would expand our horizons and try them. They have either a lack of flavor, are extremely soggy and grease soaked, stale tasting, or the tortilla is so hard it gives little splinters and cuts all over your mouth. Again, burritos are amazing, everything is I 'd stay away from. Almost every burrito is under $10 with the exception being the super burrito. They are also very large servings which means I usually save the other half or third for later. If you 're looking for a massive burrito that 's going to fill you up at any time of day or night, then the Addy 's type places are a solid place to try. For this location specifically: They seem to give slightly smaller burritos, and their salsa verde always is extremely watery. Otherwise, the rest of what was said applies to this location.
Craving a breakfast Machaca burrito this morning from Aldanberto's. We haven't been to the restaurant in a long time. We did notice the prices were a little bit higher; that's to be expected because of our current situation and the inflation that we all our experiencing. They did not disappoint the burrito was delicious. My husband and I share this burrito, I take a third he takes 2/3 which is plenty. It's a good size burrito.
My family have been coming to this location for many years, through many name changes, etc. We'd always been knocked out by the great taste at a great price. However, seven months seems to suffice to see everything on the menu skyrocket in price. I'm sure we can blame inflation to some degree, but I did not expect to pay sit-down restaurant prices for a drive through grub. There is a universality to restaurants of this sort, wherein you can expect significant menu overlap amongst various chains and locations, and Adanberto's definitely fits that mold. I'm partial to another chain out of Southern California called Los Jilberto's (which I've also reviewed on here, I believe) and can say that the rolled tacos with guacamole and the cheese enchilada plate are identical to those served by Adanberto's. I'm partial to California Burritos, and can say that the specimen offered here is good, but not my favorite. I always order it with extra cheese, but as yet have not gotten what I asked for to the extent that I no longer order that item here. Their Flying Saucer is a wonder to behold, though, and mainstays like the aforementioned rolled tacos with guacamole are always a treat. The inflated prices have caused us to cut back on the frequency of our visits, but after a long week when you reach a point where you don't want to cook anything, Adanberto's still delivers on fast, filling and tasty Mexican food.
The food hit the spot. It was amazing 10/10. Definitely recommend and prolly will be back at 3am again
Service was awful this morning. Ordered a breakfast plate (should cost no more than $9) and the cashier tried to charge me over $13 saying the prices are different from what's shown on the menu. Makes no sense and she didn't even give me the receipt.
