Jessica introduced herself as our server. She was polite, attentive and congenial. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious and our entire family enjoyed it. My husband enjoyed his trout and I loved my sole. We split a lovely bottle of wine. Our boys enjoyed their chicken and rib dishes, and mocktail drinks. To top off our dinner celebration, we chose the peanut butter mousse (quite sweet! and creme brûlée. The ambiance, service and food were all top notch! 41 South Sandpoint is our new favorite restaurant and we will definitely be back.
If you can get a rezzy here, do it! Great food, ambience and service. We had a spicy margarita, the ribeye, filet mignon, trout, and it was all amazing. My kids loved the dinner rolls and the whipped potatoes too. You can take a boat here or drive, they have a nice large dock to tie up to.
Beyond the obvious attraction of the waterfront dining, this is Sandpoint's most and maybe only elegant restaurant. We have been coming once a month whether it's inside by the fire or outside in the summer enjoying the live music and sunsets. The food! Always interesting items on the menu including local morel mushrooms, trout with huckleberry sauce!!
Came to 41S for the first time. I was a local when it was Swans Landing years ago. We came to celebrate our anniversary hoping to sit out on the beautiful deck overlooking the majestic moutains and LPO. We didnt make reservation but were able to get bar seating immediately but not outside as we hoped. Staff was friendly and attentive. Wine list was good varitey of euro, cali, ore and Wa. (I am partial to Wa wines so would like to see more of them featured) but not a deal breaker. Hubby had a local brew. Food was good, although hubby's filet mignon was a little overcooked. If we are going to spend MP on meat/fish we do have a higher expectation on the made to order. Would still go back to give another try. The views and the lake are worth it. The Lodge Hotel sits right next door. We sat on the docks after dessert and watched the sunset it was a good pick for celebration. Pros- menu Great views Deck seating Good wine list Good dessert Cons- some items pricey for budget spenders If you dont make reservations or have a bigger group you might be waiting awhile for outdoor seating Give 41S a try!
Wow the clerk at the hotel recommended this place as a not to miss experience and he was right! We were seated right before sunset, right at the edge of the patio overlooking the lake. We tried their two huckleberry infused cocktails both delicious! We had a late lunch and didn 't want to order much, but the menu was fabulous. We tried their smoked trout appetizer, served with crisp cucumber slices and thin lavosh. Seasoned with crispy capers and lemon zest, it was a delight! The wedge salad featured the local Lighthouse blue cheese, and the bread was yummy as well. We decided to split the Ribeye steak, and they were gracious to split it for us for a slight upcharge that gave us each full sides of asparagus and potatoes. The asparagus was grilled perfectly, and the potatoes were mashed with the skins. The one thing we were disappointed with was the massive amount of pepper on the steak. We both like pepper, but this was too much. The exterior of the steak was not charred as you would expect. We really wanted to order dessert because they looked fabulous but we were just too full. Overall, fabulous service by Abby and the team excellent ambiance and views.
