I have eaten several times there and have never written a review, but I miss this restaurant so much. The taste and how well it is cooked is consistent. The red snapper was cooked crispy and spiced on the bone, the rump was some of the best, and the oxtails were some of the best I ever had. The family that runs the restaurant is so friendly. The older mother is my favorite conversation. You need to reopen, because none of the other spots in St. Louis can touch you!
OMFG best Jamaican food I ever tasted! The Ruck Chicken is moist, sharp and fresh. Rice and peas and cabbage were great! I had a rash, that's a party starter! Buy a bottle or two. The taste was amazing, the portions are huge, and not just sides. You also baked red snapper, ox tails, Curry Goat, I can wait?t to come back and bring my family! It takes 20 minutes for food, and there are no indoor seats or tables, but it is worth having the waiting and COOF restrictions.
I wish they had been open for din in food was good. I just miss a beef patie. Otherwise I would go back staff was friendly
I had the salmon, my sister ordered the snapshot, my son ordered fried patches, and my father got the ruck wings, no complaints from us! The table went silent as soon as the food arrived, it was excellent. The portions are generous and the remains were just as good this evening.
Wow! Very attentive and friendly service...the food was outstanding...several good vegan options! We had fried plantains, veggie patties, okra creole plate curried butter bean plate... both served with rice peas and cabbage!
