The entrees meat or seafood are average. Mussels do not taste very good; I am...not sure this was due to freshness or insufficient wine during steaming. The osso bucco meat was not all tender; and it looked like the cut needed more cooking time or that was the best it could be with that particular cut. The chicken I think was the best of all three. Overall I think these are tourist versions of their French food; not refined enough for a repeated visit.
Our dinner decision, we experienced slow service at this outdoor restaurant on Place Jacques Cartier. They were offering a C$19.95 special...salad or soup and an entree. We had fish and chips with side salad. The salads and the frites were good. The fish was just...average,
My wife is a vegetarian but was craving poutine. After browsing through several menus, we decided to dine at this restaurant. They were able to cater to my picky children as well as accommodate my wife's poutine craving. The only downside was the confusion over the Salmon Trout on the menu - it was actually just salmon. Despite this oversight, the food was delicious. In addition to the tasty dishes and welcoming staff, the location was perfect. I recommend sitting outside and enjoying the people watching.
Unengaged service One visit to take drink order One visit to take food order Food was delivered after complaint about time service Disinterested chef apparently Food was unappealing One visit to take service charges Much much better choices in old Montreal than this
